Website Review:
After surfing the writfix website I came
to conclusion that this website is helpful for upper intermediate and advanced
students. I actually, recommend this website to my colleagues to use it as
guider to know how to teach types of essays. Moreover, to help them know how to
construct a well-organized essay.
The website deals with each type of
essay separately. In each type it gives a general explanation on how to build
that type. For example, if you are going to write an argumentative essay, it
will explains to you that an argumentative essay starts with an introduction
then three body paragraphs and finally a conclusion.
Furthermore, it will explain to you the
parts of the essay. For example, in the introduction you have to have a thesis statement.
And it will explain how to write a well thesis statement. Also, it explains
that in your body paragraphs each paragraph must only talk about one of the
reasons that you argued about and you should support it with examples or
statistics …etc.
In addition, the website has many writing
models for each type of essay. A teacher can easily take one of these models
and use it as material for his class. He can use it to explain how to write a
well essay. Also, he can use it as model and ask the students to write a similar
essay like it.
At the end, I believe that this
website is really helpful for any teacher who wants to teach writing perfectly.
It’s also great to give it to students as home guided study. They will learn
from it a lot.
