Unit 28, Reviewing glossary

1-Acknowledge :  The teacher acknowledge the assignment for the students.
2-Negotiating :      The manager negotiate the matter with his staff in the meeting and it went well.
3-Explain:              I explain the difficult lesson to my friends.
4-Clarify :              Is the way we make something clear and understood to others by other language.
5-Greet :               The situation when we see somebody and welcome him/her.
6-Textbook:           The content of the lesson or activity we give it in the learning process. 

FUNCTIONS IN LANGUAGE

Language Functions

This teaching video demonstrates how important functions are in learning languages. It shows that they are the purpose of how we can speak or write in other languages, e.g. in speaking like making request, giving instructions, and for writing like e.g. making contrast, describing purpose.

It also shows that in simple terms that functions are the main heart of the language. Without the purpose which is the function the learners can't make any sense of the words they say. So teachers have to teach it to learners since textbooks and writing are the most in the class, this will of course will help their ability to be better speaker and writers.
