Today I am going to write some points that I find crucial and relevant to my students.
1- planning helps you to be confident in the classroom because you always know your next step.
2- you should specify your goals according to students need. They should be involved in the planning.
3- It is always a good idea to plan for your lesson with another teacher this would be inspiring.
4- you should be ready to change you aims of any lesson according to the circumstances (zero option).
5- It is not always important to stick to the written form of your plans. Students sometimes have other aims that they want to achieve and as teacher you should take that into special consideration.

i agree with you yaya. especially with the confident part, i believe with planning a teacher can be more relaxed.
